Star Atlas, the next-gen, grand strategy space game and metaverse, has always led the way when it comes to metaverse interoperability. Now the team further blurs the boundaries between worlds with their latest partnership, a new creative contest with The Sandbox!
Your Mission
Players, you mesmerized us a few months ago with the amazing faction characters you created for the first Star Atlas VoxEdit contest. Now we’re back with a next-level challenge for your inner creator: design a SANDBOX game set in the Star Atlas universe!
The Set-Up
During your journey back to your home planet, you encounter technical difficulties causing your ship to crash. You manage to get out of the wreck alive but you’re now stranded on an alien planet in the HRZ (High Risk Zone).
What will you encounter there? Will you manage to leave the planet alive? Only time will tell…
Create a game that is tied (at least loosely) to this scenario.
Rewards
30,000 SAND and Star Atlas prizes will be split amongst the top entries, with judges selecting 1 winner from each of the following categories:
- Best overall idea
- Best game design
- Most creative/unique
- Best use of Star Atlas lore
Each winner will receive 7,500 SAND + 3 Star Atlas Game Keys + 3 Fimbul Airbikes & 3 Fimbul Lowbies.
Important Dates
- The Game Jam begins on October 17th, 2022.
- The deadline to complete and submit your entry is November 13th, 2022, at 3pm UTC.
- Gathering submissions and voting will take place from November 14th to December 11th.
- The results will be announced on December 17th, 2022.
